Composer, Arranger, Orchestrator

Yewon Lee is a composer, arranger, and orchestrator from South Korea, currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She creates music for TV, film, and animation, and is skilled at arranging and producing backing tracks for existing songs. Her aptitude for composing for visual media has enabled her to delve into various musical genres, establishing herself as a rising talent in the industry. Yewon’s musical journey began with violin and piano in early ages, which continue to influence her compositions.
Yewon’s notable projects include the Blackpool Lightpool Seraphic project, the animation “SHH!”, and the VR documentary “Flavours of Culture: A Taste of Korea.” In these works, she expertly combined orchestral and electronic components to create immersive soundscapes. Additionally, she was commissioned by the city of Pyeongtaek in South Korea, to arrange three versions of “Noeul,” which is one of the famous Korean children’s song. One arrangement was featured in a primary school project where students performed “Noeul” in four languages (English, Russian, Chinese, and Arabic) to celebrate linguistic diversity. The other two versions were used for a short-form content challenge, giving listeners a fresh feel for a familiar tune, and sing it over.
In 2023, Yewon released her debut track “Loser,” showcasing her skills as the main vocalist. She began her career as a film composer, and is currently working as a lead composer for several student short film projects.
Yewon Lee’s passion for storytelling through music drives her to explore new creative avenues. She looks forward to collaborating with filmmakers to bring their visions to life through her distinctive compositions.
